PVC Internal Lubricants
Castor Oil Derivatives
Internal lubricants are indispensable additives that facilitate the processing of PVC by reducing friction between polymer molecules leading to lower melt viscosity and low energy input needed for processing. Castor derivatives such as 12-Hydroxystearic Acid and Hydrogenated Castor Oil can be used as effective processing aids in the manufacture of various PVC products.

Dry Castor Oil
Castor Oil Low Moisture (COLM) is used in specific urethane applications that require minimum moisture. Castor oil naturally has extremely low moisture content at 0.25%; our urethane-grade castor oil has an even lower moisture content of 0.05%. This reduces the amount of urethane that is polymerized by moisture during formulation.
